Guarantee Trust bank was founded in 1990 but commence operation in 1991. and have continued to grow and wax stronger till now. They have also grown to become one of the most respected banks in Nigeria.
In 1996 Guarantee Trust bank became a publicly quoted company and in 2002 the bank was granted a universal banking license by the CBN.
They bank has also won the award for the best bank in Nigeria several times. They have focus more on retail banking which has helped them to grow. Their head office is located at plot 635, Akin Adesola Victoria Island, Lagos.
GT bank was the first bank I opened account with and I still run it till date because their services has been good. That is the account that I run most because their banking services are reliable.
Although I have issues with their services sometimes but that just happens once in a while. I find it hard to do banking transactions in the banking hall some times because the customers are usually much.
I usually use their internet banking instead and it has been effective so far. Asides the many crowd in the banking hall and services downtime sometimes, their service is generally good.
I like the fact that the bank is innovative and I also like their branding style. They always use an orange colour in their building and also on their logo.
Sometimes, it might be stressful to perform banking transaction in their banking hall because they focus on retail banking, which means they will have to deal with crowds.
