The Ant and the Sluggard: A Lesson in Hard Work

In the book of Proverbs, chapter 6, verse 6, the Bible tells us:

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways and be wise.

This verse is a reminder that hard work is important. The ant is a small creature, but it is known for its hard work and diligence. Ants work tirelessly to gather food and build their homes. They never give up, even when the going gets tough.

The Bible compares the sluggard to the ant to show us the importance of hard work. The sluggard is lazy and does not want to work. They are content to sit around and do nothing. However, the ant is industrious and always working. They know that hard work is the key to success.

The Bible teaches us that we should be like the ant and work hard. We should not be lazy or content to do nothing. We should be industrious and always working towards our goals. When we work hard, we will be more likely to succeed in life.

One of the most important keys to success in life is consistency. If you are talented and capable but you are not consistent at what you do, you won’t be successful.

The ant keeps making little progress till it gets to its final destination. Even though the journey seems long and the steps are little, the ants keep moving.

At the end of it, all those little steps become a large step that brings about their success. You should learn from this also, your daily habits make for your success in future.

The Importance Of Giving Thanks To God

Thanksgiving is a way of showing our appreciation to God for all that He has done for us. It is a time to reflect on our blessings and to be grateful for the people God has put in our lives

Thanksgiving is also a time to remember those who are less fortunate than us. It is a time to reach out to those in need and to help them in any way we can.

Thanksgiving should be our model, it is something we need to do continuously. Thanksgiving should be done only on special days but Thanksgiving should be done every day.

The Bible in Psalm 100 says that “I will enter His gates with Thanksgiving in my heart

This goes to show that the best way to get God’s attention is by thanking Him for all that He has done.

A lot of people focus on the things that God has not done for them and instead, forget about the things that God has done for them.

The truth of the matter is that God blesses us every day even though we are aware or not.

Money and cars are not the most important blessings of life. There are things that money cannot buy.

Money cannot buy peace, money cannot buy joy, money cannot buy true love and money cannot buy life.

One of the biggest blessings God has given to us is the opportunity to be alive.

The Bible in Ecclesiastes 9:4 says “For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.”

This goes to show that being alive is a blessing and it allows you to do and achieve more.

Beauty And Brains: The Wisdom Of Queen Esther

The story of Esther in the Bible is the story of favour and love. Esther is a lady that was
favoured irrespective of her background.

A queen was dethroned and that was what gave Esther the chance to become a queen.

The King asked for beautiful ladies to be showcased before him and out of all the beautiful ladies
Esther was chosen because she was a favoured person.

The Bible says Esther obtained favour in the sight of all who saw her. When her people were faced with a challenge and there was a plan to annihilate her people, she did not close her eyes to them even though she was affected directly.

She spoke to the king on their behalf and the king permitted them to fight back and
defend themselves.

Esther made use of her position to save generations.

That is why the story of Esther is still relevant in today’s world and it will continue to remain
relevant for generations to come.

It teaches us about loving sacrificially irrespective of our position.
One of the things lacking in today’s world is love. People no longer love or care for their
neighbours.

Most people are selfish and have become lovers of themselves. They don’t help other people if
they are not going to benefit from it.
