The story of Esther in the Bible is the story of favour and love. Esther is a lady that was
favoured irrespective of her background.

A queen was dethroned and that was what gave Esther the chance to become a queen.

The King asked for beautiful ladies to be showcased before him and out of all the beautiful ladies
Esther was chosen because she was a favoured person.

The Bible says Esther obtained favour in the sight of all who saw her. When her people were faced with a challenge and there was a plan to annihilate her people, she did not close her eyes to them even though she was affected directly.

She spoke to the king on their behalf and the king permitted them to fight back and
defend themselves.

Esther made use of her position to save generations.

That is why the story of Esther is still relevant in today’s world and it will continue to remain
relevant for generations to come.

It teaches us about loving sacrificially irrespective of our position.
One of the things lacking in today’s world is love. People no longer love or care for their
neighbours.

Most people are selfish and have become lovers of themselves. They don’t help other people if
they are not going to benefit from it.

In this post, I will be discussing about the power of faith and prayer using Nehemiah as our case study

Nehemiah was the man who led the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem.

This task seems impossible, but what seems impossible was made possible by one man named Nehemiah.

I believe he dared to rebuild the walls because God gave him the vision.

When God gives you a vision, you will have the confidence and peace that it will be done.

What I want us to learn from the story of Nehemiah is holding on to God’s word.

When God gives His word, it is as good as done. God does not lie instead whatever God says comes into existence even though it wasn’t related before.

Whenever the word of God does not come to pass in your life, it is because you didn’t do your part.

The things you need to do includes, believing the word, praying about the word and taking action.

Every successful leader needs to pray regularly because they will be faced with challenges and the only way to overcome those challenges is to pray to God.

Nehemiah was one of the Israelites taken as a slave from Judah to Babylon.

He was also from a priestly heritage. Asides from being from a priestly heritage, he kept himself blameless.

Most Israelites that were taken to Babylon forgot about God and worshipped other gods I’m Babylon but Nehemiah didn’t forget the true God and he continued to worship Him.

When God saw his heart, God gave him the grace to lead the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem which were broken.

It wasn’t an easy task because there was a lot of opposition from those who occupied the land of Judah already and also those outside the land of Judah.

In the face of these oppositions, Nehemiah was able to focus on his goals and maintain his integrity.

This is how a true leader should be, being focused until he achieves his goals.

“Once upon a time, there was a farmer who lived in a small village. He was known for his hard work and determination, but despite his best efforts, his crops never seemed to yield very much. Frustrated and discouraged, the farmer decided to seek the advice of an old and wise farmer who lived in a neighbouring village.

The old farmer listened patiently as the young farmer shared his troubles, and then he said, “My son, you have been sowing the same seeds year after year, but you are not reaping the rewards you desire. The key to a bountiful harvest is to sow a variety of different crops so that if one fails, the others can help sustain you.”
