New King James Version James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Have you ever thought about the statement “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”? If you think about it, you will know that it has deep meaning.
I will be sharing with you my thoughts about the above Bible verse.
I will start from the story of Elijah praying for rain not to fall and rain did not fall for three years.
He also prayed for rain to start falling and rain started falling again.
The Bible says that our righteousness is like filthy rags and I know that sounds scary. But I have good news for you because the righteousness discussed in this verse is referring to self-righteousness and not true righteousness.
Self-righteousness is living right based on your standard.
When something is compared to a rag, that thing is bad and shameful.
Did you know that luck is not something that happens to you without deserving it? Luck is when opportunity meets preparation.
Whenever you get lucky, it is because you deserve it. You got that result because you took an action.
If you went for an interview and you were the only person selected out of a thousand people, that can be lucky but it happened because you made an effort on your part.
Why is it that some people get good luck most times while some other people get bad luck most times? I will be answering that question in this post.
There is an ancient Chinese proverb, which says that failure is the mother of success. If you do not think about this statement, you might think it does not makes sense.
Whenever I hear this proverb it reminds me of my first failure in a higher institution.
In my first semester at school, I failed a course(Trigonometry) and I felt so bad after checking my result.
I went home and slept off because I couldn’t believe it, I was going to have a carryover. This means I’m going to attend the lectures and write the exam again.
After I woke up from my sleep, I thought about what happened and I knew that I failed the course because I wasn’t attending lectures regularly and I didn’t pay attention to details.
During this period of thinking I was able to get a solution that helped me finish my program without failing again.
Yes, I had to attend lectures and write the exam again but I was able to learn some lessons that helped me avoid failure in future.
Then, I had a friend who passed the course but he failed a course in his final semester and he had an extra year in school.
I’m sure some people might not agree with the statement that success is a journey and not the destination because they view success based on results only.
When it comes to success, the end doesn’t justify the means rather the means justify the end.
When you look at the scenario of an athlete that wins a gold medal in the Olympics, what made him win was the constant practice he had and how well he ran to win the race.
Most people do not know about the process the athlete went through to achieve that good result.
Motivational speeches are good for encouraging and uplifting yourself when you are down.
You will always have your down moments in life, these are periods whereby you have experienced failure or results that didn’t favour you.
What should you do in moments like this? Should you give up, feel sad or get up and rise again?
I have compiled some of my favourite motivational speeches for you and I want you to watch and listen to them, they will encourage you and make you keep going even when it gets tougher
“Success is like being pregnant everyone says congratulations but nobody knows how many times you were screwed” this is a popular quote by Dan Pena. This quote is deep and has a lot of lessons it teaches.
Some quotes have the power to change your life, I can tell you that this is one of such quotes. You should read it and try to understand the deep meaning behind the words.
After seeing these quotes, I was able to get some lessons from them and I will be sharing those lessons with you in this post.
There are many ways to define success and find fulfilment in your own life. Vocational schools focus on developing skills that will directly lead to jobs and career opportunities upon graduation.
While there are several areas of study available at vocational schools, they all generally share the goal of equipping students with the skills necessary to pursue specific careers after graduation.
Whether you’re currently in college or exploring your options, understanding what success means to students in the context of vocational schools can help you decide if it’s the right path for you.
